IT'S NICE TO MEET YOU!

I'm Laurie Burke...

A San Francisco native that  comes from a family of professional actors and musicians (think “The Partridge Family” meets “This is Spinal Tap”). Being an enormous fan of all things creative, I decided to turn my creative passion into a full time career. For almost 20 years, I have worked as a professional Actress, Voice Over Artist, Host and Singer.

With an un-quenching love and thirst to learn my craft, I have been fortunate enough to have studied all over including the Dramatic Arts in London (Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts), Paris, Berlin, Los Angles and San Francisco (American Conservatory Theater).

My TV Credits include playing lawyer Alice Kaye opposite Hugh Laurie in Chance, staring roles in Wives with Knives and I (Almost Got Away With It) and numerous commercials for major companies including Blackberry, Volkswagen, Raley’s, Walmart, Metro PCS, Nokia and Wells Fargo.  Currently I'm playing Sheriff Laura Stevens in the second season of the Rosario Dawson produced web series The North Pole.

My Film credits include “Mr. Invincible”, “The Mendoza Line”, “Redwoods”, and numerous award winning Short Films including voicing the main role of “Hisayo” in Roadside Assistance. Recently I worked opposite Adam Devine in the feature film “Jexi” - providing the “on-set” (behind the scenes) voice of Jexi.

Known as the “Original Voice of Google Voice”, I have been fortunate enough to have a long and very varied career, lending my voice to everything from The Emmy Awards to commercials for Raleys/Nob Hill, LinkedIn,Channel 36(L.A.), Kaiser Permanente, 24 Hour Fitness, Symantec, First Republic Bank, Cisco, and Wells Fargo commercials.

My Theater credits include the role of "Amy" in Stephen Sondheim's musical "Company", "Gal" in the touring production of "Just for Laughs", and starred in the continuously sold-out performances as “Claudia Roe” in Lucy Prebble’s “Enron”.

As a host I have been a TV and Web Host for Common Sense Media for eight years (a company I am very proud to represent). I am also their go-to for Voiceover and Award shows.

As a professional singer, I have fronted many different bands of different genres as well as performed in many musicals, films, jingles and Voiceover projects.

It makes me extremely happy and grateful for every opportunity I have been given and I believe sharing my creative passion and helping others is my true purpose in life.
